DIBO Diamantwerkzeuge GmbH was founded in 1992 in Steyr and has been based at its current location in Sierning, Upper Austria, since 2012, on 1.100 m² of built-up floor space. The company manufactures precision tools mainly from the cutting materials PCD (polycrystalline diamond) and CBN (cubic boron nitride) as well as other hard materials – including milling, drilling and reaming tools, grooving and turning tools, burins, countersinks, (indexable) inserts and combination tools built to customer specifications. Its service portfolio also includes tool consulting and application engineering, fine balancing of drilling tools as well as the repair and refurbishment of PCD/CBN tools including regrinding and re-tipping of inserts. Customers are machining companies and industries such as automotive and aerospace, plastics and composite processing, electrode manufacturing and woodworking. Since 2021, the Lasertec 20 Precision Tool from DMG MORI, a laser machining machine, has been available for tool manufacturing. The company is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001.

Founding of DIBO in September in Steyr with two employees; the name derives from DIamond and BOron nitride.

60% of the shares go to the carbide tool factory Andreas Maier (Baden-Württemberg), 20% to TCM International Tool Consulting & Management GmbH, 20% to managing director Leopold Mayr.

Opening of the new production and administration building in Sierning after six months of construction on the occasion of the company's 20th anniversary.
