About Dichtungsschmiede GmbH
Dichtungsschmiede GmbH, based in Tönisvorst, develops and manufactures custom radial shaft seals (WDR/RWDR), lip seals as well as special and custom shaft seals with a radially movable or rotary sealing element. PTFE and various PTFE compounds with fillers such as carbon, carbon graphite, glass fibre, bronze, stainless steel, polymer or molybdenum disulfide are used as materials. The seals cover operating temperatures from around -70 °C to +260 °C and are manufactured, among other things, with special profiles in hygienic design, in detectable versions and for ATEX zones. The service portfolio includes one-off production, prototype development and series production as well as consulting on the complete sealing system. Customers come from the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, mechanical and plant engineering, engineering, the automotive sector and general industry.

Materials
PTFE
Highly chemically resistant sealing material for use from -200 °C to 260 °C, suitable for marginal lubrication and dry running.
Modified PTFE
Modified PTFE for extended application requirements.
PTFE + carbon/carbon graphite
Improves creep strength, hardness and thermal conductivity with excellent wear properties.
PTFE + glass fibre
Improves creep behaviour at low and high temperatures with high chemical stability.
PTFE + bronze
Compound for increased mechanical load capacity.
PTFE + stainless steel
Compound with stainless steel as filler.
PTFE + graphite
Reduces friction and improves the wear properties of the seal.
PTFE + polymer
Compound with polymer filler for custom requirements.
PTFE + molybdenum disulfide (MoS2)
Compound for improved sliding properties.
PTFE + carbon fibre
Compound with carbon fibre filler.
Detectable PTFE
Special compound that enables detection of foreign bodies from 2 mm using metal and X-ray detectors.
FKM, electrically conductive
O-rings for conductive applications, especially in ATEX areas.
