About Die Freien Brauer

Die Freien Brauer GmbH & Co. KG, based in Dortmund, is an association of leading independent family breweries from Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. The association comprises 46 shareholder breweries with a combined annual output of around 8.15 million hectoliters and sees itself as a community of values of like-minded, group-independent businesses. The organization itself does not operate any production of its own, but rather pools central purchasing services for its shareholders, maintains a network of suppliers, partners and institutions, and handles press and public relations work for the association. Through the affiliated insurance brokerage GmbH, members are also offered specialized insurance solutions for the brewing industry. Annual internal surveys on industry development complement the association's services. The head office is located at Brackeler Hellweg 124 in Dortmund; the association is represented by Freien Brauer Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH.
