About Die Käsemacher

Die Käsemacher GmbH operates a cheese and antipasti manufactory in the Waldviertel region of Lower Austria. The product range includes hand-crafted and hand-ladled fresh cheeses, fresh cheese preparations and semi-hard cheeses based on traditional Waldviertel recipes, vegetables and fruits filled with fresh cheese (including Peppersweet), grilled vegetables, olives as well as sheep's and goat's milk yoghurt. The basis is natural, untreated milk from sheep and goats from small agricultural farms in the Wald-, Most- and Mühlviertel regions, which are fed 100% GMO-free. The range is complemented by hummus products and antipasti in vegetable oil. The products are available in almost the entire Austrian food retail trade and are exported to over 40 countries. The manufactories produce at the headquarters in Vitis as well as at the Scheutz site; in Heidenreichstein, the Käsemacherwelt, a show manufactory with restaurant and shop, invites visitors.
