About the Herb Manufactory
Die Kräutermanufaktur was founded in 2014 by 25 women – farmers and medicinal plant specialists. The agricultural business specializes in the cultivation, processing and marketing of whole-leaf tea. The herbs come from farms controlled according to organic guidelines in Baden-Württemberg, from the Rhine Plain across the Black Forest (up to 950 m altitude) to the Lake Constance region, and are cut, plucked and dried purely by hand because of their higher content of active ingredients. The product range includes tea blends, mono teas, fermented forest herb blends as well as herbal and spice salts based on unrefined German rock salt. The products are packed in bags and sample packs (2 g to 20 g). Distribution takes place via direct sales from the farm in Ottenheim, at markets and festivals as well as individual corporate gifts with a company logo label. In 2024, the manufactory was nominated for the Women in Ag Award.
