About DIENES
DIENES was founded in 1913 by Karl Rudolf Dienes in Remscheid and today operates as a fourth-generation family business headquartered in Overath near Cologne. The company manufactures industrial cutting tools such as circular knives, straight knives up to 6,000 mm in length, razor blades, guide bars and knife holders as well as complete cutting systems for cross cutters, rewinder and roll cutters. The tools are made from steel, powder-metallurgical steel (DPM), carbide and special materials, with in-house hardening; circular knives undergo up to 40 work steps. In addition to cutting technology, DIENES develops and manufactures working valves for reciprocating compressors and control components for screw compressors. Customers come from the paper, packaging, plastics and film industries, recycling, rubber processing, the printing industry as well as the compressor and mechanical engineering sectors. With around 500 employees, worldwide representations and services such as regrinding service, cutting laboratory and retrofit modernizations, DIENES offers the entire value chain for industrial cutting from a single source.
