Dietze & Schell Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, based in Coburg (Upper Franconia), has been a partner of the textile, plastics and glass fibre industries as a mechanical engineering specialist since 1951. The company develops and manufactures system solutions and plants for winding, rewinding and finishing a wide variety of materials – from natural fibres and technical yarns, with or without sizing, to webs, fabrics, packaging strapping, artificial turf and basalt. Every material places particular demands on the winding process; the plants are designed according to customers' requirements. In addition to its Coburg headquarters, the Dietze + Schell Group also includes the sister company TRIMA in the Czech Republic as well as SIMA Winding Technology. Customers include companies from the aviation industry – Airbus flies thanks to technology from Upper Franconia.
