About Digital Way
Digital Way is a French company based in Saint-Etienne specializing in the design, manufacture and installation of monitoring systems for metal cutting. The Watt Pilote product line monitors the condition of tools on machine tools using power-based measurement technology with proprietary algorithms: tool breakage is detected and tool wear is measured in order to avoid scrap and to improve machine availability, cycle times and tool life. Safe Pilote is a three-axis acceleration sensor system with processor that protects machines from collision and crash damage and also detects imbalances on high-speed tools; it acts as a black box that stores alarms with the associated vibration curves. In addition, the company offers data recording systems with DataPilote and CyberMachine and supports customers in optimizing the cutting process through adaptive control and process analysis. The products are read out via an HMI that enables graphical analysis of machining curves, faults and wear. The company maintains its own subsidiaries in Europe, North America and Asia and serves customers among others in the automotive, aerospace and general industry sectors.
