About DiGOS Potsdam
DiGOS Potsdam GmbH is a system integrator for geodetic and geophysical observation systems, based on Telegrafenberg hill in Potsdam. The company implements complete turn-key systems for Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) and Space Debris Laser Ranging (SDLR) – from the planning and implementation of new laser stations to the upgrade of existing facilities with its own SCOPE control software. Further business areas are Optical Ground Stations for laser communication and Quantum Key Distribution, seismic measuring instruments such as the 3-channel data logger DATA-CUBE³ and the all-in-one system CUBE+, as well as the Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing system Phosaris for strain and vibration measurement along standard glass fibers. As an interdisciplinary team of computer scientists, engineers, geophysicists and mechatronics engineers, DiGOS offers the entire project chain from the idea through development and commissioning to maintenance, training and repair. The systems are built with COTS components from European and international suppliers and are in use worldwide, including in the Arctic, Antarctica and desert regions. The company emerged from the research campus of GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences.
