About the Button Factory Dill

Since 1924, the button factory Dill has produced fashionable quality buttons in Bärnau (Bavaria). The range includes plastic and metal buttons, some with up to 50% recycled content, as well as natural buttons made from liquid wood, mother-of-pearl, wood, genuine leather and deer antler. Value creation takes place largely in-house: from button design to mixing and dyeing the raw materials, construction of moulds and tools, and finishing by electroplating in the company's own plant. Customers include specialist retailers of fabrics, hand-knitting yarns, haberdashery, quilting/patchwork and crafts, as well as fashion ateliers and designers; sales are made via an online shop exclusively to commercial customers. Through a worldwide distribution network, its own catalogues in four languages and a US subsidiary in Montoursville, PA, the company supplies customers internationally. Production and finishing in Germany according to the Öko-Tex standard and with REACH-compliant raw materials from EU suppliers ensures fully traceable product and quality chains.
