About dio weinberg

dio weinberg is a sole proprietorship of Wolf Dio based in Oberursel in the Taunus. The company cultivates around one hectare of steep vineyards in the best sites of the Upper Rheingau (hinterer Rheingau) under joint cultivation with Jochen Neher of the Mohr winery in Lorch. The wines are produced organically and are certified under the EU Organic Regulation (inspection body DE-ÖKO-039). Wolf Dio has been working as a winemaker apprentice and junior winemaker at the Mohr winery since autumn 2021 and attends seminars and lectures in sensory analysis and oenology at Hochschule Geisenheim. The goal is the continuous development of the vineyards' potential for great Rieslings and Spätburgunder; the first DIO Rieslings and DIO Pinot Noirs have already been released and are sold through the company's own online shop.
