About us

Dipl.-Ing. Lutz Kurth Bohr- und Brunnenausrüstungen GmbH develops and manufactures compact and powerful drilling rigs, drilling carriages, drilling tools and well equipment in Nordhausen in the southern Harz region. Founded in 1995, the company emerged from a commercial sales agency and has grown from a three-man operation into an internationally active mechanical engineering company with 25 employees. The product range includes small drilling rigs such as KB10, KB13, KB21 and KB25 as well as drilling systems such as the KB30 with casing rotation table, light and multipurpose drilling carriages, hydraulic and flushing pump units, and accessories such as grouting devices. The technology is used primarily in well construction, shallow geothermal energy, ground investigation, ordnance surveying, geotechnics and special foundation engineering. In addition to new machines, the company offers consulting, design, service, repair, conversion of third-party equipment, rental, and trading in spare parts. Short distances between order intake, design and production enable customized solutions that are in use on several continents.
