About us
Dipl.-Ing. Tietjen GmbH in Bücken develops and manufactures compressed-air brake systems for the original equipment and retrofitting of towing vehicles and trailers. The portfolio includes compressed-air brake systems for tractors, telescopic loaders, wheel loaders, forage harvesters, mobile excavators and graders, compressed-air brake systems for trailers including brake calculations, compressed-air supply and cleaning systems, as well as trailer couplings and adapter plates. Over more than 40 years, more than 5,000 system variants have been created; since 1985 around 70,000 systems have been sold, and the 100,000th was recently delivered. Manufacturing covers CNC turning, CNC milling, CNC tube bending, bending and joining techniques for sheet-metal parts and steel tubes in small and medium batch sizes; laser cutting and surface finishing are carried out by partner companies. Sub-assembly pre-assembly covers more than 8,000 kits per year. Customers are OEM manufacturers of agricultural, construction and commercial vehicles such as Komatsu, John Deere and Case IH as well as the agricultural machinery trade. The owner-managed family business, now in its third generation, produces at its headquarters in Bücken (Lower Saxony) and delivers worldwide.

Quality
Every delivered compressed-air brake system is documented piece by piece and given a serial number; every fully assembled unit undergoes a final inspection. Measurements such as build-up time, tank volume, breakaway function and vehicle deceleration are documented according to a defined test protocol (Conformity Test Unit).
