About us
DIPL.-ING. WILHELM SCHMIDT GMBH is a family business founded in 1953, now run by the second and third generation and headquartered in Seeheim-Jugenheim. The company manufactures reusable stainless steel containers for critical liquids and gases in volumes from 0.1 to 1,500 liters in up to 15 standardized diameters. Production takes place in two in-house plants in small and medium series with a high degree of in-house manufacturing: deep-drawn bottoms are produced in-house, complemented by orbital welding, in-house electropolishing and internal ETFE coating. Materials used are in particular stainless steel 1.4301, 1.4404 as well as special materials such as Hastelloy. Customers include the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, biotech and life science companies as well as the semiconductor and microelectronics sector, among others for hazardous goods transport, GMP processes, laboratory applications and high-purity systems.
