discountmed e.K. is an owner-managed family company based in Regenstauf (Regensburg district) that specialises in the development and distribution of medical technology products. Its core competence lies in the tracheostomy and wound care segment: with in-house production of HME filters (AirBridge®) and the associated tracheal compresses and stoma cleansing wipes (A-Tex), the company has been supplying regular customers from hospitals, wholesale, pharmacies and homecare for around 20 years. Production takes place exclusively in Europe, partly in Germany (stoma cleansing wipes, shower plasters) and partly with reliable production partners in Europe. The in-house development department, headed by Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Laszlo Kiss, covers plastics and device development including patent and utility model applications as well as injection-moulding tool production. In addition to proprietary products such as the empty container for enteral nutrition and the Safe-Laser laser light therapy devices, the company provides wholesale, consulting and logistics with a delivery service of up to 100 km.
