Dittes Oberflächentechnik GmbH, based in Keltern (IKG Dammfeld), is a contract coater for electroplated and chemical surface treatment of metals. The company specializes in electroless nickel plating in low-, medium- and high-phosphorus variants (3–5 %, 6–9 %, 10–12 % phosphorus) as well as coatings built on this and the special Dispersal Polymer Coating (DPB) surface. Further processes include electroless nickel PTFE and black, chemical blackening of stainless steels, electrolytic nickel plating, gold plating, silver plating, copper plating, tin plating as well as palladium and rhodium coatings, plus passivation and chromating of aluminium. In addition to steel, non-ferrous metals, aluminium and stainless steel, special alloys such as AlSiC, AlBeMet, CuBe, CuMo, Kovar and titanium are also coated; work is carried out in rack and barrel processes, from small parts the size of a pinhead to components weighing up to 800 kg (electroless nickel). Customers come from aerospace, automotive, mechanical engineering, medical technology, electrical engineering, motorsport and pneumatics, including well-known high-tech companies and universities; coatings are delivered throughout Europe and are also found in space.
