About DIXI Polytool
DIXI Polytool S.A. is a manufacturer of precision cutting tools in solid carbide, diamond and PCD, as well as forming tools and precision reamers, based in Le Locle (Switzerland) since 1946. The product range includes drills (from Ø 0.05 mm), milling cutters, engraving cutters, saw cutters, whirling tools, reamers and special tools made to customer data; in addition, the company manufactures wear parts such as probes, probe styli, punches and gauges to customer drawings. The tools are ground on 4-, 5- and 6-axis grinding machines; every year more than 10% of revenue is reinvested in grinding technology and modern metrology equipment. An in-house R&D department determines cutting data and supports customers in optimising existing processes and developing new applications. The company supplies industries such as watchmaking, medical/dental technology, turned parts manufacturing (Décolletage), aerospace, automotive, general engineering, micromachining, as well as the machining of plastics, composites and aluminium. More than 250 employees, 190 of them in Switzerland, plus six international sales subsidiaries and around 40 representatives ensure worldwide supply.
