About DLR GfR
DLR Gesellschaft für Raumfahrtanwendungen mbH (DLR GfR) is a space services company based in Weßling near Munich. At the Galileo Control Centre in Oberpfaffenhofen, the company steers and monitors the operation of the Galileo satellite constellation, Europe's global satellite navigation and timing system, on behalf of the European Commission. Its service portfolio covers mission planning, configuration management and mission operations for commercial space as well as solutions for ground infrastructures such as antenna systems and monitoring and control systems with round-the-clock service. With JASP-R, DLR GfR offers a GNSS resilience service for the detection and assessment of jamming and spoofing, and with OPTIMUS a platform for optical satellite communication. The team comprises more than 115 employees, including over 25 in IT, more than 60 engineers and scientists, and 30 technicians for ground infrastructures. For signal monitoring of the Galileo constellation, the company uses DLR's 30-metre parabolic antenna in Weilheim.
