About umzuege.de
DMG Medien & Consulting GmbH & Co. KG, based in Flörsheim am Main, operates the portal umzuege.de, established in 1997, the oldest advisory and brokerage portal in the German moving industry. The portal provides a moving comparison calculator that compares a do-it-yourself move with a move carried out by a moving company and outputs cost estimates as well as the time required. In addition, umzuege.de offers an industry directory of moving companies, an offer brokerage service, moving checklists, a moving guide and individual price calculators for the websites of moving companies. Moving companies can present themselves on the portal with a company profile, a rating system and qualified enquiries. The company emerged from Brandeis Verlag und Medien and is a subsidiary of DMG Aktiengesellschaft, which has been active in the furniture removal trade for generations and has been publishing the trade journal “der möbelspediteur” since 1946. Its target audience includes both private individuals who are moving as well as moving and new-furniture forwarders.
