DMW - Drahtmaschenweberei GmbH in Billerbeck is a wire weaving mill specialised in the manufacture of crimped wire mesh. The starting materials are wires with diameters of 1.6 to 5.0 mm, up to 10 mm for aluminium, in the materials raw/bright steel, galvanised wire, zinc-aluminium-coated wire, copper-plated wire, stainless steel, aluminium and copper. The production process comprises crimping (single to seven-fold crimping), weaving on modern weaving machines with a maximum weaving width of 2.5 m, and cutting to size with tolerances of -2/+2 mm. In addition to the standard square mesh, rectangular meshes and mesh lengths up to 35 m are produced. The crimped wire mesh is used, among other things, in fencing and security applications, in screening and conveyor technology, in ventilation systems, for machine protection, in racking and pallet construction, as gabions in landscaping, and in high-bay warehouses. DMW produces custom-made products, supports customers from planning through to production, and develops its own products such as the GRIDTECH® leaf collection box and aluminium storage baskets for high-bay warehouses.
