About DÖRKEN
Dörken GmbH & Co. KG is a family-owned company with more than 125 years of company history, headquartered in Herdecke. The company is organised into two business units: DÖRKEN Coatings develops paints, coatings, tinting and corrosion protection systems, while DÖRKEN Membranes produces pitched roof and façade membranes as well as damp-proofing and drainage systems. In the field of corrosion protection, Dörken offers zinc flake basecoats and topcoats for metric fasteners, some of which are free of intentionally added PFAS, chromium compounds and heavy metals. Industrial wood coating includes stains, paints and wood oils, applied among other methods in the Vacumat, with a brush applicator or a spray application machine. The products are distributed via a global network of more than 200 licensed coaters and a network of specialised dealers; the company is represented on four continents.

Materials & Processes
Zinc flake coating (basecoat)
Basecoats such as DELTA-PROTEKT® KL 100 and DÖRKEN® BASE 120/105 provide corrosion protection for metric fasteners made of steel and galvanised steel.
Topcoat application
Water- and solvent-based topcoats (e.g. TC 502 GZ, SEAL 711/715, TOP 500) define friction coefficients and enhance corrosion protection.
1K DTM painting
Anti-rust paint is applied directly to iron and steel as well as to existing old paint coatings.
2K DTS industrial painting
Wet-on-wet processing, also electrostatic, for steel, stainless steel, non-anodised aluminium and plastics.
Industrial wood coating
Stains, paints, wood oils and silicate stains for dimensionally stable and limited dimensionally stable timber components, transparent to opaque.
Vacumat vacuum application
All-round coating with precise film thicknesses and automatic feed in a closed material circuit.
Brush applicator machine
Three-sided coating of timber profiles with low material consumption thanks to a closed material circuit.
Flat spray applicator machine
All-round spray application, frequently for small parts, with individually adjustable transparent to opaque systems.
Façade and dispersion paints
Systems such as LUCITE® 800 HousePaint for concrete, wood and mineral substrates with UV stability and driving-rain resistance.
Pitched roof and façade membranes and drainage systems
Multi-layer nonwoven-film composites such as DELTA®-WOODIXX for construction-stage protection of timber components in CLT and timber frame construction.

Product specifications are qualified and validated under series production conditions; selected systems, for example, meet >720 h SST per ISO 9227-NSS and friction coefficients per ISO 16047. Application is carried out exclusively by licensed coaters in the global network.
