About Dolder Electronic
Dolder Electronic AG develops and produces electronic controllers for renewable energies and general measurement, control and regulation technology (MSR). The product range includes universal controllers (eNet1, WPC3-S-U, SORA-WZ), heat pump controllers, heating controllers, solar controllers as well as operating units and accessories such as PT1000 temperature sensors, solar sensors and volume measurement parts. The core competencies lie in hardware and software/firmware development, the procurement of hard-to-obtain components and the evaluation of replacement types for discontinued components. In addition, the company offers electronics development on a customer contract basis, a configuration service (control concept, function modules, parameterization, simulation, documentation) as well as repair and overhaul service for all controllers in its own range. Fields of application are HVAC, energy management, home and building technology, solar thermal, industrial and process automation as well as remote control and analysis with data loggers. The headquarters are located in Gisikon in the canton of Lucerne; according to the company, the controllers are developed and manufactured as Swissmade products. As of 31 December 2025, the company will merge with ZETA Engineering AG as part of a succession solution.

Company History
- 1964
Alfred Dolder, graduate engineer ETH, founds the company as a sole proprietorship; followed by hundreds of electronics developments on customer contract basis.
- 1989
The first solar thermal controller of its own development and production, the SORA-100, goes into series production.
- 1995
Establishment of the solar controller range (SORA-C, SORA-S series); in parallel, control units for fan heaters on customer contract basis.
- 1999
The first heating controller ECOSOL is added to the product range.
- 2000
Development of the first heat pump controller; this results in 2003 in the series production of the WPC2 with four variants.
- 2005
The new solar controller generation starts with the SORA-WL; in 2006 SORA-W and SORA-WX are launched.
- 2008
New heat pump controller WPC3 with network interface and integrated web server.
- 2015
Universal controller WPC3-U with formula interpreter as an alternative to programmable logic controllers.
