About Domaine de Ravoire

Domaine de Ravoire AG operates a vineyard high above the Rhone valley in the Valais wine-growing municipality of Leytron. This wine project, described in Switzerland as unique, turns wine lovers into active co-creators: as shareholders, they accompany their vines throughout the year, from pruning to harvest, and gain access to training in the vineyard and cellar. On sun-drenched terraces with old natural stone walls, wines such as Domaine de Ravoire blanc are produced from Heida, Pinot blanc and Viognier, aged in barriques. The wines can be tasted in the historic cellar of Albert Mathier & Söhne AG in Salgesch. Half of the shares are to be sold to committed, wine-interested individuals.

History

1. The vineyard in Leytron is one of the older vineyards in Valais; its steep terraced slopes and protective natural stone walls have been shaped and maintained by generations.
