About the Winery
Domaine des Balisiers was founded in 1982 and has farmed its vineyards organically since its inception. Since 2005, the principles of biodynamic cultivation have additionally been applied. According to its own statements, the estate is considered the largest organic wine producer in Switzerland. The grapes are vinified in the estate's own facility; the entire harvest is bottled on the estate. The wines are aged without chemical additives, and fermentations start exclusively with wild yeasts. In addition to grape varieties as red, white, rosé, sparkling and sweet wines, the range also includes olive oil. Cellar tours with wine tasting are offered on Saturday mornings without appointment.
