About Don Stefano
Don Stefano Zigarrenmanufaktur GmbH was founded in 1993 by Steffen Rinn in Heuchelheim near Gießen, who had previously worked at the family company Rinn & Cloos as a raw tobacco specialist and cigar maker. The manufactory produces cigars and cigarillos as short fillers predominantly by machine; some specialities such as torpedo-format cigars and pipe cigars are made entirely by hand. The blends use tobaccos from Sumatra (sand leaves), Java (Bezuki, Vorstenlanden), Brazil (Mata Fina) and the Cuban province of Pinar del Rio; the recipes are based on traditional templates and result in a pleasantly mild flavour profile. The filling of the cigar boxes is done by hand, followed by final inspection. In addition to manufacturing, the company offers cigar evenings and seminars for the retail trade. Since 1995, Mathias Rinn has strengthened the team as sales director. Production, sales and shipping are located in Heuchelheim, with the invoicing address in Wettenberg.
