The Organic Reform Mill
The Donath Mühle in Bad Wörishofen was founded in 1925 by Hermann Donath and stands in the tradition of biodynamic agriculture in the Allgäu region. For over 70 years, the company has processed exclusively organically and biodynamically grown grain, sourced predominantly from the districts of Unterallgäu, Ostallgäu, Landsberg, Aichach and Augsburg. The milling operations include grain milling, the production of the original Donath six-grain blends and mueslis with intact germs, as well as hulling and polishing processes for products such as spelt rice and oat rice. Spelt rice is preferably made from the ancient variety Ebners Rotkorn; the grains are gently cleaned and hulled in a special process. The company works closely with regional farmers and sees its milling in the service of a landscape-preserving cultivation culture.
