About Donau Chemie
Donau Chemie Aktiengesellschaft is a family-owned company in the chemical industry headquartered in Vienna with around 1,200 employees in twelve countries. The group comprises four business divisions: the manufacture of inorganic chemicals such as sulphuric acid, sulphamic acid, chlor-alkali electrolysis products, hydrochloric acid, caustic soda, calcium carbide and calcium oxide; water technology with precipitation and flocculation agents based on iron and aluminium chlorides for drinking, wastewater and process water; the manufacture and reactivation of activated carbon through Donau Carbon; and the distribution of basic and specialty chemicals including blending and filling services through Donauchem for Central and Eastern Europe. Production takes place at the sites in Pischelsdorf, Landeck (carbide) and Brückl (electrolysis). In addition, the company offers application-related consulting, analyses, dosing systems, training and tank cleaning. Its customers are primarily the chemical industry, municipalities, drinking and wastewater treatment, the paper and pulp industry, biogas and agriculture.
