About Donauchem
Donauchem GmbH, headquartered in Vienna, is part of the Donau Chemie Group, a chemical company with more than 1000 employees and production facilities in eleven countries. The company manufactures industrial chemicals, including sulphuric acid, sulphamic acid, hydrochloric acid, chlor-alkali electrolysis products, precipitation and flocculation agents based on iron and aluminium chlorides as well as calcium carbide. In addition, the portfolio includes the production of activated carbon based on coconut shells, the repackaging of industrial chemicals and the distribution of chemical raw materials and specialties. The Group is divided into the business units Inorganic Chemistry, Water Technology, Activated Carbon and Distribution. For water technology, coconut-shell activated carbons for drinking and process water as well as solutions for sludge treatment are offered, among other things. In-house research and development as well as tailor-made blends and branded products complement the offering; modern production and storage sites ensure process and supply reliability in Central and Eastern Europe.
