About us
Dorfmetzg N. Jud GmbH was opened in 2003 by Niklaus Jud in Benken SG and today employs around 25 staff. The company operates a retail store in the centre of Benken with a butchery, an in-house sausage production for homemade sausage products and a party room for approx. 50 people. In addition to its meat and sausage range from the Linth region, Dorfmetzg offers party service and catering for events ranging from family celebrations to large-scale events and can cater for up to 1500 guests on site. The meat is purchased from farms in the surrounding municipalities, which is intended to ensure short transport routes and clear traceability. The offering also includes cold-cut and grill platters made to order, event consulting and the rental of equipment such as snack vans, grill spit trailers, refrigerated trailers, deep fryers and food warmers. In the party service segment, the grillspiess.ch brand was launched; the company also trains butchery professionals.
