Dormet Dörfliger Metallwaren AG is a family-owned company founded in 1960 in Hägendorf in the canton of Solothurn, which under the motto «Metal at Peak Performance» provides contract manufacturing services in the metal sector for industry and the construction ancillary trades. The company manufactures individual parts, sheet metal parts, deep-drawn parts, welded frames, housings and assembly-ready assemblies to customer drawings, including surface finishing. The machine park comprises punching presses from 40 to 400 tonnes of press force, punching automatics up to 160 tonnes of pressing force, a combined punch-laser system TRUMPF TRUMATIC 6000 for micro-series and prototypes of 1 to 100 pieces, as well as a CNC wire erosion machine for the in-house toolmaking shop, including progressive dies. In addition to robot welding for series production, Dormet offers engineering, design, prototyping and assembly of assemblies. Materials processed include steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass and spring steel. The company is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and in 2012 received the Solothurn Social Star for preserving and creating jobs for people with mental impairments.
