About dormiente
dormiente GmbH is a natural mattress manufactory based in Heuchelheim near Gießen. Founded in 1988 by young biologists, the company develops and manufactures natural latex mattresses made of 100% pure natural latex by hand. The product range also includes ergonomic slatted frames made of solid wood, solid wood and upholstered beds, sofa beds as well as natural duvets and pillows made of virgin wool, camel down hair, kapok, cotton and hemp. For material selection, dormiente applies its own strict standards; the mattress materials are tested for harmful substances according to strict criteria and food-grade standards. Wood for beds and furniture is sanded, oiled and surface-treated. In addition to the home market, dormiente offers sleep solutions for motor homes and campers. Sales are handled through a network of dormiente Centers in Germany and Switzerland.
