About DOVO Stahlwaren
DOVO Stahlwaren GmbH was founded in 1906 in Wald near Solingen as a pure straight razor factory with its own forge and hollow grinding shop. Since then, the company has manufactured straight razors by hand and has expanded its range to include hairdressing scissors, pocket knives as well as manicure and pedicure instruments. The value chain includes forging of the straight razor steel, hollow grinding, and manual grinding, honing and finishing through to gilding with 24K gold and engraving. Since 2013, DOVO has focused primarily on shaving products for wet shaving. Following insolvency in 2020, a new start under new ownership followed, with a focus on the straight razor. The company is based at its headquarters in Solingen; production and distribution take place from there.
