About dQdt
dQdt KG, based in Krefeld, develops and manufactures metrology for fluid consumption, in particular sensors based on the pressure-loss-free delta p = 0 measuring principle, mobile and stationary measuring systems, and calibration concepts for flow meters. The company operates a fully climate-controlled calibration laboratory with a fully automatic pipette calibration rig (3 ml pipette) in which pulse-output displacement meters are calibrated. Calibration factors (pulses per ml) are determined independently of density and insensitive to temperature; the calibration fluid is a fuel equivalent. The in-house prototype shop produces prototypes, adaptations and repairs, including anodizing of aluminum components such as cooling plates for sensor conditioning. Custom measuring applications are designed in SolidWorks. The systems are used, among other things, on engine test benches, roller dynamometers, in vehicle testing, in motorsport (Formula 1), in high-pressure and high/low-temperature applications, and for AdBlue consumption measurement in commercial vehicles. All activities — calibration, manufacturing and development — are bundled at one location in Krefeld city center.
