About Dr. Haubitz
Dr. Haubitz GmbH & Co. KG is a medium-sized family-owned company based in Solingen that has been manufacturing plastic injection-moulded parts and system components for the automotive industry since 1956. The product portfolio ranges from the engine compartment to the boot and includes, among other things, mirror triangles, pillar trims, phone mounting plates, honeycomb inserts, air ducts, absorbers and components for e-mobility. Production is carried out by injection moulding, two-component injection moulding, the MuCell process and as hybrid insert parts on 40 injection moulding machines with clamping forces of 30 to 1600 tonnes in three-shift operation. Part weights from 0.3 g to 2.5 kg are produced in small and large series; thermoplastics are coloured in-house in over 100 colour variants. The value chain covers development, design, in-house toolmaking, manufacturing, surface finishing and assembly. With around 14,000 m² of production space and more than 240 employees, the company supplies, among others, Volkswagen and was rated an A-supplier in the Formel-Q process audit.

Materials and Manufacturing Processes
Injection moulding
Conventional injection moulding of thermoplastics on machines with 30 to 1600 t clamping force.
Two-component injection moulding
Processing of a wide variety of material combinations such as PA/PE, PA6.6 GF/TPE or ABS/TPE.
MuCell injection moulding
Foam injection moulding process for weight-reduced thermoplastic components.
Hybrid insert parts
Overmoulding of insert parts to create functionally integrated components.
PA6.6 GF
Glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide for technically stressed parts in the engine compartment.
TPE
Thermoplastic elastomers for soft components in two-component injection moulding.
ABS
For visible interior parts with a high-quality surface.
PA/PE
Material combination for multi-component parts.
Rubber
For delicate rubber mats and elastic components.
