About Dr.-Ing. Folz Gleitlagertechnik GmbH

Dr.-Ing. Folz Gleitlagertechnik GmbH is a family-owned company founded in 1989 and based in Püttlingen-Köllerbach in the Saarland that develops, manufactures and distributes wear-resistant and maintenance-free or low-maintenance sliding and pivot bearings for swiveling motions. The bearings are made from various metallic material groups and delivered worldwide. Customers include companies from the iron and steel industry, the construction and cement industry, mining, shipbuilding, general mechanical engineering and the automotive sector. In addition, the company offers modern hardening technologies as well as surface and heat treatments as a service provider, including vacuum and pulse plasma technology; the pulse plasma nitriding process was introduced in southwestern Germany in the early 1990s. With four pulse plasma nitriding and nitrocarburizing systems, vacuum and induction hardening systems and robot-linked production, the products are manufactured with a high level of in-house production depth from a single source. The company sees its sliding bearings as a sustainable alternative to conventional sliding bearings and was awarded the Innovation Prize “Sustainable Business” of the Economic Club Saar-Pfalz-Moselle e.V.
