About Porsche
Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, headquartered in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, is a manufacturer of sports cars and SUVs. At the parent plant in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, the series production of the 911 (all models and derivatives including Cup racing versions on one production line) and of the electric Taycan takes place; the flat-six engines of the 911, the V8 engines for Cayenne and Panamera, and the E-motors of the Macan electric are also manufactured there. The second German production plant in Leipzig (345,000 m² footprint, around 600 vehicles per day) produces Panamera, Macan and Macan electric as a full plant with body construction and paint shop; in addition, bodies for Bentley are built there. The Weissach development center has covered vehicle development, prototype and model construction, aerodynamics, acoustics and electronics testing as well as safety testing since 1971. The 718 models are produced as overflow production within the group network in Osnabrück, the Cayenne in the multi-brand plant in Bratislava and as a CKD model in Kulim (Malaysia). The central spare parts warehouse in Sachsenheim supplies Porsche Centers worldwide.
