About us
Dr. Keimling + Knothe GmbH is a trading, wholesale and production company for chemical base materials based in Hamburg. The product range includes silicones and silanes (among others functionalized polydimethylsiloxanes, silicone resins, silica compounds, crosslinkers and platinum catalysts), mineral oil specialties such as fabricating, process and spindle oils as well as technical petrolatums, paraffins and waxes (among others polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE and Fischer-Tropsch waxes), pharmaceutical and cosmetic base materials as well as other chemical raw materials such as glycerin, ethylene glycol and propylene glycol. Customers come from the paint, lacquer, rubber, plastics, cosmetics and food industries. In close cooperation with supply partners, the company develops solutions for specific customer requirements, focusing on security of supply and risk management. Since 01.07.2016, the company has been continuing the business activities of Knothe + Vogelsang GmbH and builds on a tradition dating back to 1965.

Paraffins and Waxes
Paraffin, polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE, EVA, Fischer-Tropsch, amide, hybrid, polyolefin and sugarcane waxes as well as dispersions and emulsions.
Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Base Materials
Cream and ointment bases, emulsifiers, glycerin Ph. Eur., lanolin and vegetable oils, also in organic qualities.
Other Chemical Raw Materials
Defoamers, esters, fatty acids, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, micronized PTFE and silica as well as vegetable and animal fats and oils.
