A metalworking shop with a high degree of automation

Dr. Manfred Majer Maschinenbaugesellschaft m.b.H. is a metalworking and mechanical engineering company in Gmunden, Upper Austria. From a small metalworking business with two employees taken over in 1976, a company with a high degree of automation has evolved. Its main products are custom-made stainless steel items for mechanical engineering and metal technology. The range of services includes laser cutting of stainless steel, steel and aluminium sheets, bending, rolling and welding in the TIG, MIG/MAG and electrode processes – supplemented by laser welding with a welding robot from lot size 1, especially in the thin-sheet segment. Surface finishing is performed by glass bead blasting (stainless steel parts only, grain size 100–200 µm), painting and powder coating. A large sheet warehouse with 60–70 sheet types enables rapid implementation of customer requirements. The company accompanies custom constructions from design through production planning to manufacturing and delivery, all from a single source.
