About us
Dr. Mennicken GmbH, based in Breckerfeld, develops and manufactures solutions for temperature measurement, monitoring and control as well as for heating and cooling. The product range includes thermocouples (including bayonet, angled, sheathed/plug-in, screw-in, grounded and surface thermocouples), Pt100 resistance sensors, special temperature sensors, heating elements such as cartridge heaters, nozzle and cylinder heating elements as well as heating plates and heating frames, complemented by accessories such as screw-in bosses, connectors, thermocouple cables and connecting cables. Production is carried out as the assembly of measuring tips and sensors; materials include stainless steel (V4A) and brass, with Pt 100 with MgO insulation used as the measuring sensor. The company also offers the development of customised solutions, industrial controllers and the repair of temperature controllers, recorders, time relays and measuring instruments. The temperature sensors are used worldwide in all industrial sectors. The family business, founded in 1961, is managed by Jens and Nils Ellinghaus.

History
- 1961
Foundation of the company 'Dr. Hans L. Mennicken' by Dr. Mennicken; focus on representation of an English company with temperature controllers and monitoring devices; establishment of a repair department.
- 1962
Expansion of the delivery programme with complete switching and control systems.
- 1970
Establishment of a production facility for temperature sensors; expansion of the repair department to cover all common temperature controllers, recorders, time relays and measuring instruments; discontinuation of the representation of the English company, delivery programme expanded to German
- 1974
Conversion into Dr. Mennicken KG.
- 1980
Split of operations: Dr. Mennicken GmbH took over production and sales of Dr. Mennicken KG; Ulrich Ellinghaus became managing partner.
