Who we are

Dr. Nähring Water Treatment GmbH is a family-owned company based in Dürnau that manufactures antiscalants and membrane cleaners for reverse osmosis and nanofiltration systems. The product range comprises more than 60 products, including biodegradable, low-phosphorus and phosphorus-free antiscalants as well as acidic and alkaline membrane cleaners against biofouling, scaling and colloidal fouling. Development, manufacturing, laboratory, application engineering and sales are all carried out entirely at the Dürnau site. The company was founded in 2002 by Dr. Jens Nähring and has since also developed tailor-made formulations for antiscalants, hardness stabilizers and cleaners. The offering is complemented by services such as free system sizing, laboratory studies on fouling and scaling, in-house cleaner tests and membrane autopsies in cooperation with IUTA e.V. in Duisburg. Customers include municipalities, waterworks, utilities and industrial companies from sectors such as automotive, energy technology, plant engineering, food, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

Verified Quality

The effectiveness of the chemicals used was tested in 2005 and 2007 as part of the inclusion of phosphonic acids (ATMP) and polymers (polyacrylic acid) in the list pursuant to § 20 of the Drinking Water Ordinance. Laboratory studies, in-house cleaner tests and membrane autopsies with IUTA e.V. from Duisburg supplement the quality assurance.
