About Us
Drahtwerk Wagener GmbH & Co. KG produces in Altena (Sauerland) spring steel wire and steel wire in accordance with current national and international standards as well as individual customer specifications. The product range includes steel wire for technical springs and industrial ropes, spring steel wire for upholstery springs, wire for rolling and coiling, screen steel wires, spoke wires, square and flat wires as well as specialty wire for steel wire shot. Spring steel wires are manufactured in the diameter range from 0.5 to 10.0 mm. Customers of the wires include, among others, the automotive industry, agricultural applications, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. The company was formed in January 2016 through the merger of the two traditional firms Drahtwerk Altena and Wagener Stahldraht and looks back on more than 150 years of experience in wire drawing. It belongs to the KÜNNE Group, additionally offers dressing and processing services and is a member of the Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection Network Draht.
