About DREKU
DREKU GmbH from Schwerte is a manufacturer of outdoor building components. The product range includes patio covers in aluminium and laminated timber, carports, louvered roofs, sliding glass walls, summer and cold winter gardens, entrance canopies, sun shading systems, roof coverings, fence elements, solid panels and gutters. The products are manufactured in-house as custom-made building kits; cutting to the requested dimensions is provided at no extra charge. The portfolio is complemented by trading in plastics such as polycarbonate and acrylic as well as HPL laminate panels. Delivery is carried out with the company's own vehicle fleet and installation by its own fitters; in addition, the company operates its own sewing workshop for sun shading textiles, repairs and storm damage rectification. Customers are private builders, trades businesses and commercial partners; projects are realized throughout Germany and also in Austria. Around 30 employees work at the Schwerte site with production, warehouse, logistics and showroom.

Multiwall sheets in multiple chambers and tints as an alternative to polycarbonate.

Founding idea by Mr. Drechsler; the name DREKU = Drechsler + Kunststoffe (plastics); started as a small business with 2–3 employees trading in building materials (PVC/polyester light sheets, multiwall sheets, glulam timber)
- 1990
Official founding by entry in the commercial register on 13 December 1990

Sale of the company due to the owner's age; followed by consistent further development
- 2003
Relocation to a new company building in the Schwerte-Villigst industrial estate; expansion of production, warehouse and showroom

Sascha Enders joins the company
