About DREWSEN SPEZIALPAPIERE

DREWSEN SPEZIALPAPIERE GmbH & Co. KG develops and produces uncoated, wood-free specialty papers at its site in Lachendorf, Lower Saxony. Around 160,000 t of capacity per year are utilized on three paper machines (2025 production: 155,000 t); grammages of 30 to 370 g/m² at web widths up to 474 cm are possible. The portfolio is divided into PROSECURA (security papers with watermarks, security fibers and security threads), PROTECH (technical papers) and PROFINO (printing and packaging papers), complemented by paper-based alternatives to plastic such as drinking straw papers, heat-sealable papers and greaseproof papers. In addition to paper production, the value chain includes converting (cross cutting, sheet cutting, reel and bobbin cutting, ream wrapping) as well as its own research and development department. The family business, founded in 1538, employs 513 people, supplies more than 70 countries worldwide and has maintained a sales office in Berkhamsted, Great Britain, since 1985.
