About Drone Rescue Systems
Drone Rescue Systems (DRS) develops and manufactures at its headquarters in Graz, Austria, autonomous parachute recovery systems for commercial multirotor drones as well as Flight Termination Systems (FTS) with immediate motor shutdown. Depending on the UAV's takeoff weight, the systems weigh between 290 and 650 grams, operate without pyrotechnics or pressure cartridges, and deploy the parachute within milliseconds of detected flight failure using patented spring-band technology – even from low altitudes. The systems are reusable, can be integrated as plug-and-play solutions for over 100 UAV platforms, and feature independent sensors, algorithms, geofencing as well as interfaces such as MAVLink, Auterion, PWM and digital interfaces. Customers include OEMs and system integrators such as Wingtra, Freefly Systems, DJI and Acecore Technologies as well as operators in inspection, mapping, public safety, delivery and defense. DRS was the first company to pass the ASTM F3322-18 parachute standard for a UAV with 16 kg MTOW, and supplies more than 40 OEM partners in over 45 countries across six continents.

Certification & Standards
The parachute systems are tested to the ASTM F3322-18 standard; DRS was the first company to pass this standard for a UAV with 16 kg maximum takeoff weight. The systems autonomously detect flight failure via independent sensors and algorithms.
