About DSI Aerospace
DSI Aerospace GmbH, based in Bremen, has been developing and manufacturing highly reliable electronics for space and aeronautics applications since 1997. The product portfolio comprises on-board computers, Payload Data Handling Units (mass memory storage with 1–8 Tbit), data processing units, Instrument Control Units and Ground Support Equipment such as unit and board-level testers. The products are offered as box-level units or as board-level plug-in cards (e.g. cPCI-SS). The focus is on hardware, FPGA and software development; manufacturing and testing take place in the company's own laboratories, workshops and test facilities, including an ISO-Class-7 cleanroom for flight hardware integration, thermal and vacuum test chambers and an EMI/RFI-shielded Crypto Chamber. A field of specialisation is radiation testing (Radiation Up-Screening, SEE and TID tests) of memory devices and FPGAs. Customers include ESA, DLR, Airbus, Thales Alenia Space, OHB and Beyond Gravity in missions for Earth observation, science, exploration and space safety.

Development & Processes
FPGA-based systems
Modern, secure FPGAs (Microsemi, Xilinx) form the basis for data processing, encryption and compression in orbit.
Memory devices (RAM, NAND flash)
EDAC-protected memory for mass storage solutions with 1–8 Tbit capacity and data rates up to 5 Gbps.
Board-level electronics (cPCI-SS)
Plug-in card form factor with extensibility via mezzanine connectors for integration into existing avionics architectures.
