DSW – Das Spindelwerk GmbH is a service company for motor spindles and machine tools with its production site in Bad Emstal. The company repairs and overhauls motor spindles from various manufacturers, including spindles from DMG MORI, Gildemeister, HSD, CYTEC, Franz Kessler, Fischer, GMN, AXA, Hurco, Chiron, Breton, Toyoda, Hedelius and WEISS. The repair comprises complete disassembly, cleaning and inspection of all components, replacement of damaged parts, reassembly and a final electrical test. For common machines, DSW keeps a stock of overhauled exchange spindles which are delivered and installed; the defective spindle is subsequently taken back free of charge. Spindle heads, rotary feedthroughs and clamping technology are also serviced. For the machine service division, DSW cooperates with MMD Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH, which handles maintenance, control system retrofitting, machine and geometry measurement, inspection after crash damage and spare parts supply.
