About DSW Elektronik GmbH
DSW Elektronik GmbH from Weisendorf near Nuremberg manufactures custom wound components: chokes, coils with and without bodies, transformers, transducers, relays and electronic assemblies. Production takes place in small and medium series from a single piece with no minimum order value, entirely in Germany. The portfolio includes air coils, toroidal, EI, UI and ETD ferrite-core transformers, self-bonded wire coils hot-air cured, RFID coils and layer winding of large coils up to 1.30 m diameter and 2 m length. Materials include enameled copper wire and self-bonding wire, copper strip, soft iron and ferrite cores, electrical sheet steel as well as aluminum, plastic and glass-fiber reinforced materials for in-house coil bodies from the company's own toolmaking with turning, milling and a 3-axis machining center. In addition, DSW offers assembly work, laser engraving and own products such as inrush current limiters, speed controllers and membrane keyboards. Customers come from railway technology, device manufacturing, metrology, power supply and consumer electronics.

Materials and processes
Enamelled copper wire
Standard winding wire for chokes, coils and transformer windings.
Self-bonding wire
Is hot-air cured so that dimensionally stable coils are created without bodies.
Copper strip
For transducers with high currents at low power losses.
Soft iron cores
For pulse and isolation transformers as well as Rogowski coils.
Ferrite cores (EI, UI, ETD, RM)
Core material for transducers, transformers and high-frequency windings.
Electrical sheet steel
Sheet cores made in Germany for dry-type transformers.
Aluminum
Material for coil bodies to customer specification.
Plastic
Material for milled coil bodies in the in-house toolmaking department.
Hard paper and hard fabric laminate
Material for stable coil bodies and test coils.
Glass-fiber reinforced material
For particularly stable coil bodies in one-off production and series.
