Dubois & Dépraz S.A. is an independent family business founded in 1901 in the Vallée de Joux, today in its fourth generation of family ownership. The company develops, manufactures and assembles watch movement mechanisms with complications as well as components and gear trains with high value added for the watchmaking industry (Haute Horlogerie). Its offering includes the design of watch movements, the manufacture of mechanisms and complications, delivery as kits or fully assembled (coupled to a base movement), custom-made solutions (Sur-Mesure) as well as tooling (Outillages) and (pre-)assembled components. Manufacturing follows a commitment to quality and Swiss craftsmanship; the company masters a wide range of trades (métiers) along the entire value chain. With 420 employees, Dubois Dépraz operates at two sites: Le Lieu in the Vallée de Joux (VD) and Arch in the canton of Bern (BE). The company works independently and with a long-term approach together with watch brands as partners.
