About Dünnewald Stahlhandel
Dünnewald Stahlhandel GmbH & Co. KG is a family company founded in 1837 in Münster, specializing in the distribution and further processing of steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The warehouse program includes rolled steel (bar steel, section steel, tubes, plates, Corten steel, special profiles), bright steel, stainless steel in 1.4301/1.4571 and other grades, aluminium, and wear-resistant Hardox plates in grades 450, 500 and 600. In its own processing area, cut-to-size blanks or parts to DXF/drawing are produced – with lasers, flame cutting, sawing, blasting, welding and quality-assured re-stamping in accordance with DIN EN 764-5. Hardox can be laser cut and flame cut. The site on Höltenweg offers an 8,000 m² warehouse hall, a plate tower with 400-tonne capacity and a KASTO high-bay racking system with 1,800 compartments; its own vehicle fleet with crane trucks delivers Just-in-Time throughout Germany. The company is certified to ISO 9001, EN 1090-1 (up to EXC1) and ISO 3834-4 and supplies, among others, mechanical engineering, steel construction, recycling, mining and transport sectors.

Materials and Processes
Rolled steel
Classic structural steel in the form of bar, flat and section steel (IPE, HEA, HEB, HEM, U-sections) for mechanical engineering and steel construction.
Bright steel
Dimensionally accurate, smooth steel without post-processing, mainly for mechanical engineering, automotive and electrical industries.
Sheet metal
Sheet metal up to 2.99 mm, also galvanized, for lightweight and structural applications.
Heavy and quarto plates
Heavy plates from 3 mm and quarto plates 8–200 mm for load-bearing constructions.
Corten steel
Weather-resistant structural steel with a dense protective rust layer, often for outdoor applications such as sculptures.
Stainless steel
Corrosion-resistant stainless steel as bar steel, tubes and plates for automotive, construction and medical technology.
Aluminium
Lightweight, robust material as plates, bars, profiles and tubes for the automotive and electrical industries.
Hardox
Wear-resistant, hard steel (approx. 425–640 HBW) for highly stressed components in mining, recycling and transport.
