Since 1997, DUNLOP TECH GmbH has been developing and producing Intelligent Mobility Systems for automobiles at its Hanau site. The portfolio includes tire pressure warning systems (TPMS), which signal loss of air pressure, as well as tire puncture systems for emergency repair of puncture and cut injuries to the tire. Development, production, application and sales take place at the German site in Hanau; the systems are supplied to vehicle manufacturers worldwide, and operating instructions are available in ten languages. The company is a 100% subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. (Japan, founded 1909), one of the largest tire manufacturers in the world (Dunlop, Falken, Sumitomo Tyre). For the manufacture of the tire puncture system, DUNLOP TECH is certified to IATF 16949:2016, and its environmental management system to ISO 14001:2015. Millions of vehicles have been equipped with the systems internationally since the company was founded.
